A Little Bit About Me
Somewhere, there is a young woman. She sometimes feels as if bad things happen to her whenever she faces problems and disappointments, but she realizes that everyone’s life is like this. She’s close to her family and friends, visits them and invites them over. She goes to school or work, balancing that with her personal life. She's independent, so she enjoys her own life and her own ambitions. She's almost always happy, and she has a long temper rather than a short one. She's so beautiful that most guys assume she's high-maintenance and out of their league. But in reality, she does not realize how radiantly beautiful she is. She receives lots of attention from lots of guys, yet she knows this is normal for nearly all women. She doesn’t get frustrated by offensive or annoying messages from men she finds unattractive and undesirable. She's selective because she has high standards; she won’t settle for anything less. But at the same time, she does not get into the tempting and addictive habit of presuming that higher-quality men will approach her in the future, so she can simply reject, block or ignore all the men who are trying to communicate with her right now, while she waits indefinitely for those better-quality men of the future, in a repetitive pattern that can continue forever. Whenever she rejects men, she listens to both her heart and her mind, and lets clarity -- not impulse -- guide her decisions. As men try to court her, she maintains her composure through humility, empathy, laughter and smiles. She’s a healthy young lady, ready to become a loving mother to her future children someday, if she meets the right man. But she realizes how much fierce competition most men must face in their attempts to meet women. She knows that viewing someone's online profile and meeting them in person can be very different experiences. She has the pragmatic foresight to keep her expectations realistically grounded before meeting any potentially suitable man. It’s also possible for her to meet a nice guy through her family, friends, classmates, colleagues or social situations. She’s an elegant young lady with purpose and refinement. Other women want to be like her, yet they are not jealous or scornful towards her, and men everywhere desire her and long for her. She's able to handle the seemingly contradictory and conflicting requirements and constraints of finding a suitable man to be a part of her life.
Perhaps she may consider a man who supports her and encourages her to pursue all her academic, athletic and career objectives as well as her hobbies and passions. That man would treat her with respect and openly communicate with her. I am a man seeking this young woman. I spend lots of time at work. At two universities, I obtained bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering. I work as an electrical engineer. I enjoy designing and building things. I’m also slightly entrepreneurial. I'm naturally curious about how things work, and I try not to take too many things for granted. Outside of work, I play tennis (indoors and outdoors), a childhood hobby that I continue to this day. I cook a variety of cuisines. Sometimes I get lazy, childish and immature, for no apparent reason -- traits generally common to most guys. In some situations, I try to see things from other people’s viewpoints to understand what's happening. The young woman I seek is not an ideal woman, as I am not an ideal man. Both of us are flawed, as we struggle with problems, failures and mistakes. Perhaps the young woman I described is reading this right now. Neither of us would know yet. But could we find out?
